The Meindl Portland GTX is a lightweight waterproof shoe, very similar in appearance and fit to the Respond GTX, but with a suede and fabric upper. Although they use the same sole, the Respond has a very slightly more pointed toe box than the Portland. The suede and fabric, rather than mesh, will make the Portland more durable than the Respond, but perhaps slightly less breathable. The Portland GTX shares the same Gore-Tex lining and well-cushioned PU midsole with the Respond.
